Public Works Programs
Capital Improvement Program
A Capital Improvement Project is a project that helps maintain or improve a Town asset, often called infrastructure. Key projects currently being constructed in Moraga include the Canyon Road Bridge Replacement Project, the Pavement Management Program, as well as several others.
Land Development
Public Works staff coordinates with the Planning Department to oversee private development within the Town. The engineering department’s purview as it pertains to land development includes: public infrastructure (such as roadways, storm drainage, and other utilities) hydrology; grading; construction; and accessibility
Transportation
The Town of Moraga is committed to ensuring safe, reliable and accessible transportation for all - whether by automobile, transit, bicycle, or on foot. The Planning, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation Departments all have a role to play and work closely together to plan for, build and maintain the Town’s transportation network.
