The Town has reached the approximate 1/2 way mark on completion of construction for the 2022 Pavement Rehabilitation Project. Tentatively starting Monday, June 19, 2023, the Town’s contractor will be Rubberized Chip and Microsurfacing sealing 13 roadway segments. There will be lane and street closures during surfacing sealing work. Please expect and plan for delays. The Town has mailed construction notices to approximately 1600 residents, along with contractor hand distributing notices and posting “No Parking” barricades and providing updates on our Project Website. This is the first construction project of the Town's "Worst Street First" residential pavement program, which is rehabilitating approximately 22 streets in various neighborhoods. Please visit the dedicated 2022 Pavement Rehabilitation Project webpage for a street list and updates.
All planned streets to recieved rubberized chip seal have been completed. The contractor is working today (Friday, June 23, 2023) on touch up areas of the completed rubberized chip sealing and continuing the sweeping up of loose rock in preparation for next phase to seal the new pavement surfacing with a top layer of Microsurfacing Seal. Microsurfacing sealing is tentatively planned to start Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Please check project site (link above) for updates; No Parking signs and Informational Flyers posted on barricades; and the notice links on project website.
