The Small Business Relief Grant Program was a financial aid program initiated by the Town Council under the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The goal was to provide relief funds to small businesses in the Town of Moraga in response to COVID-19. The program kicked off in September 8, 2020 and closed December 30, 2020; therefore, the Small Business Relief Grant Program has officially ended. With a successful administration of applications and distribution of allocated funds, the Town of Moraga was able to distribute over $14,000 in relief grant funds to 10 small businesses including restaurants, salons, schools, and automotive repair businesses. These are funds that were directly distributed back into the Moraga small business community to help pay for health and safety supplies and other materials that businesses had to purchase in response to the public health regulations mandated by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Town Staff would like to extend our gratitude to the Moraga Chamber of Commerce for their help with the development and execution of the Small Business Relief Grant Program.
