Residents Please Park Off Street During Sweeping Days
Residents should park vehicles in garages or driveways the day of their designated sweeping. All cars must be removed from Cul-De-Sacs for Cul-De-Sac sweeping to occur. Residents are asked to place only garbage, recycle, and compost carts out the morning of their pickup day and remove at the end of the day. Additionally, please remove portable basketball hoops and other items from the roadway to ensure that the street in front of every residence gets swept. Failure to remove vehicles and items from the street will cause those areas to be bypassed.
Joint Agency Street Sweeping Program
The City of Orinda provides street sweeping services for their public roads with their own staff and sweeper. In the past, the Town of Moraga has contracted out street sweeping services that occurred 1 to 2 times a year. The Town of Moraga as a trial basis is partnering with the City of Orinda to provide street sweeping services this January 2020. Upon completions of this one-time joint street sweeping program, the agencies will review the sweeping performance and associated costs to determine whether to continue this joint agency street sweeping program in the future.
