Honorable Lynda Deschambault, Mayor 
Lynda has more than 25 years of professional business experience as
an environmental scientist with a B.S. in Soil Science, a B.A. in
Chemistry, an MBA in business management, and a California Teaching
Certificate. An eighteen year resident, born and raised in New
England, Lynda moved to Moraga in 1990. She was elected to the
Town Council in November 2004 after serving as the Moraga Youth
Involvement Committee advisor, a Moraga Parks and Recreation
Commissioner and the Chair of Moraga's Habitat Preservation
Committee. Lynda taught at Los Perales Elementary school, and
volunteers at Aegis home for assisted living. She is an active
member of the Chamber of Commerce of Moraga, a board member of the
Contra Costa County Solid Waste Authority, and a presidential
appointee to the League of California Cities Environmental Quality
Committee. Lynda encourages residents to contact her to share
thoughts and ideas about community matters.
